After measuring carbon emissions and setting a baseline, it is then possible to establish a reduction target and the most cost-effective, immediate way of achieving that.  The CarbonNeutral Company provides carbon assessments which ensure you are correctly reporting and measuring the essential carbon emissions.  We also provide a range of online carbon calculators to enable you to engage staff and clients around their carbon footprint.

Carbon assessments

The CarbonNeutral Company provides clients with a range of on and offline assessment tools to meet their specific requirements for measuring carbon emissions.  A business may choose to measure emissions for the entire company or a specific area such as a product line, business travel, events or publications.  We will advise you on the relevant sources and the scope of carbon emissions to be measured.

In order to ensure the integrity and objectivity of our assessments we work with independent third party assessors to handle the measurements.  All assessments quantify greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with internationally recognised and respected protocols, including the WRI/WBCSD GHG Protocol. 

The CarbonNeutral Company helps clients to identify carbon emission reduction opportunities, including both internal efficiencies and carbon offsets. Companies executing offset inclusive carbon management strategies:

• measure their baseline carbon footprint
• set scientifically significant emission reduction targets
• meet the targets most cost effectively
• communicate their activity to stakeholders.

To select the most cost effective carbon emission reduction solutions, all carbon reduction projects are evaluated in terms of the cost of reducing a tonne of carbon.  An offset-inclusive programme combines carbon offsets with the internal reduction projects with a lower cost of carbon than the cost of an offset.

Carbon calculators are a simple way to engage staff and customers around their carbon footprint and drive behaviour change, while adding an interactive element to your web presence.  We offer an off-the-shelf calculator which can be branded for your company and used on your intranet or website.  Alternatively, if you have very specific requirements, using our knowledge of reporting factors and calculator functionality, we can build a calculator to meet your particular requirements.
