Geographical location:
The project is situated between latitudes 21°21’57”.29 and 20°59’25”.01 North and 74°14’27”.60 and 74°18´51”.54˝ East.
This project is located in Nandurbar Taluka in the Nandurbar District and Sakri Taluka in the Dhulia District. It generates clean electricity through the installation and operation of 12 new wind turbines which have a combined capacity of 15MW. This renewable energy is delivered to the Maharashtra State electricity grid, reducing CO2 emissions by displacing electricity that would otherwise have been drawn from fossil fuel fired power plants.
Alongside the emissions reductions, the project has created temporary and permanent employment opportunities in both the development and operational stages. Additionally, the turbines have been sourced from an Indian-based supplier, supporting the development of clean technology in the region.
