Background to the project - The solar lighting project is organized by SELCO.  It’s an innovative scheme which aims to replace kerosene as the fuel source for lighting with solar energy.  The benefits are broad – lower CO2, better for health, improved employment opportunities.  Dr Harish Hande, MD, of SELCO India and Ashden Award winner, is shown talking about the value of carbon finance in relation to this project.
