Corporate Responsibility

Our Corporate Responsibility commitments
| |
Our business is actively engaged in addressing a key environmental problem – climate change. And we recognise that in the execution of that business, we give rise to impacts on the environment as well as the communities and people in our supply chain, safety risks and, by the nature of the issues we are addressing, we have an influence on stakeholder positions and government policies on climate change.
We run our business in compliance with relevant national and regional regulatory requirements. But our aim is to do better, and to continuously improve our overall contribution in our spheres of influence.
Therefore, as part of our routine business process, we identify and manage those environmental, safety and corporate social responsibility issues which have a material impact on the biological and socio-economic systems upon which our business success is dependent. For issues over which we do not have direct control, we promote the adoption of appropriate management programmes by our commercial partners and customers.
|
Our Corporate Responsibility programme
| |
Our corporate social responsibility programme to manage issues over which we have direct control covers five key areas which we have assessed as being material to the way we run our business, and where our achievements will make a difference to the wider socio-economic environment. Our management programme for these areas is summarised in the table below. |
