How do you differentiate a taxi ride? What can you do to get people to realise your taxis are different? For Radio Taxis Group, one of London’s leading black cab companies, the answer was to take a stand on climate change.

Having the World’s first CarbonNeutral® fleet has been of real benefit to the environment – and to RTG’s sales drive. Today, they are known as the most environmentally friendly taxi company. So while most of their vehicles are black, their corporate culture is thoroughly green.

How The CarbonNeutral Company helped:

  • We worked with the management team to measure the emissions from the entire RTG operation including all of the taxi journeys
  • We helped to highlight initial areas where carbon reductions could be made
  • We led the RTG Board in a 360° review of the company’s CSR policy and re-energised it with clear annual and 5 year KPIs - including targets related to CO2 management through internal and external reductions
  • We created a portfolio of carbon offsets to take the operation to net zero immediately and enable RTG to use the CarbonNeutral® certification across its entire taxi fleet
