Calculations
So how do we know how much CO2 your flight produces?
All the calculations done as part of this programme are based on publicly available research conduced by the UK Government's 'Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs' (or 'DEFRA' for short) in 2001.
This research states that a short haul flight (0-3,000km) has an emissions factor of 0.18 kg CO2 per passenger Km, and a long haul flight has an emissions factor of 0.11 kg CO2 per passenger Km.

With these figures in mind, we've worked out the return distances for all of Crystal's holiday airport destinations, and calculated out the emissions per passenger flight. The table below shows these figures in detail.
